The Awesome wheels themselves are a couple pounds lighter at 17.8 each. They are the oem center bore so no hubcentric rings needed. The gunmetal finish is darker and more glossy.

The RE-11A are much stickier than the GForces. Since there's more width and more sidewall I can be more aggressive with them turning in to corners and they just refuse to let go. They take heat exceptionally well and never faded away. I am very happy with them and the additional confidence they provide on track. On the highway they are a bit quieter but nothing significant.

My last session yesterday, running the yummy Sunoco 98 octane race gas.

The track was mostly empty aside from a few cars, 3 of which were fully prepared Cayman race cars driven by pros. Lots of open track and a gorgeous afternoon sky. The car felt much more comfortable with more speed through every corner.

The next video coming up is an early afternoon session with a lot more action in it.

Passing a couple M3's, a Lotus Elise, a couple Miatas, and got into a tussle with a Ford Ranger towards the end!

The assumed but inconclusive benefit would be lower intake air temperatures (more consistent power) as a result of no longer having hot coolant flowing through the throttle body, heating it and the air passing through it. The effect would be most noticeable/measurable when driving at higher speeds and there's plenty of air getting around the engine bay.

The disadvantage would be the TB could freeze up if you drive in a very cold climate.

Nice! I love the sound that thing makes.

When I was there with Chin I got a few pro tips that helped drop some time off my laps that might help you too next time there.

For turn 7, brake at the 1 marker and run completely across turn 7a; there is a large concrete pad beyond that apex curbing, and the car should be on almost the entire concrete pad.

Flat out through 9/10, you'll be able to do it by using every inch of the runoff pad after 10 to the left, which I think I gained the most amount of time in that area of the track.

Here's a lap with Mark Hicks of Chin Motorsports, who has a ridiculous amount of experience at this track and got me to shave a few seconds off my lap times, and I was able to get a 1:54 out of the car; stock engine, just pads and fluid and 215 Pilot Super Sports WITH a ~200lb passenger.

Very respectable lap time. Did you get any lap times @ATL BRZ?

No. I know I should start timing myself. Just don't wanna wad up the car after getting too aggressive and making a mistake trying to shave off seconds.

slippery slope, especially if you are competitive. I almost kissed the wall exiting Turn 17 at Sebring after it got a bit loose mid turn and I kept pushing trying to wring a 2:39 out of it.

Literally inches away from the wall:
