I have the 5" mufflers with stock 2.5" and a Rev Works UEL header and the sound is perfect. Deep boxer rumble when you get on it and tame when cruising.

I'm going to swap it out with a smaller pipe system to combat the rasp and noise as this one is designed for a turbo user.

Even with a high flow cat, two resonators, and the axleback, it's not enough to get rid of the rasp and drone. It's mainly due to the fact that it's 3" piping. Bummer because it took me ~3 months to have this exhaust made and now I'm swapping it out. Quality is superb as I'd expect nothing less from Nameless. I just took the chance of running N/A with a catless header knowing it would be loud. Some turbo owner will probably be very happy when I sell it to them.

The 2.5" systems with the helmholtz resonator and high flow cat, along with the stock midpipe and 2.5" axleback with 5" mufflers are probably ideal for catless headers on an N/A setup. It still will be very loud though. Just a fair warning before anyone dives into making a purchase which they plan on having a catless header.
Here's the crux of my problem. I don't want to be buying 2.5" parts since I will be turbocharging my BRZ in 2 years time. Thus, I want 3", but this system will be running NA for the first 2 years.

The Perrin cat-back system is much quieter. I'd love to hear what a 3" Perrin cat back sounds like hooked up to a Nameless 3" downpipe. Does anyone think that would be too loud? Or just perfect? The 3" Perrin hooked up to a 2.5" front pipe and overpipe sounds just grand:

Probably really good. The Perrin has a huge resonator and a larger muffler on the axleback portion. May get a little rasp with a catless header, but not too much.

Only problem may be that with a turbocharger, the Perrin might be "too quiet". My last question would be, would one see a performance increase NA with a 3" Nameless downpipe feeding the 3" Perrin catback?

@StOpNGOx, as you requested I shot another video.

This makes it sound pretty harsh at cold startup and then mellows out about the end of the video. When revved and the car is stationary, it doesn't make much sound, but it gets more aggressive under load.

I hope this helps.

Does any body have numbers with the axle back and maybe one with the axleback and down pipe?

I'm going to try to dyno my car with my JDL UEL and Nameless full 3" system before I swap to my Q300. I'll dyno that system right afterwards to see if 3" NA does anything. If anything, the low end is poor on 3" with a bit better high end. My FA20club tune is designed for the 3" system.

Thanks for taking the time to shoot a video of that. I like the sound the setup produces and after the New Year I will be ordering one.

Thanks humfrz

Did you email them? I ordered 22 days ago, and ever since they've said it should ship by the end of December. I asked a few days ago and they are still on track. I guess I'm not impatient since I just got my car and I'm still breaking it in.

FYI guys, I think mine took more than 30 days to arrive. My order status wasn't being updated from initial or 2nd step. Just wait and be patient, it will come. Maybe things improved, but it used to be normal to wait for some time.

Today is one month exactly since I placed my order.. Still no change in status and no ETA from them, I haven't called or anything.. Trying to be patient.. But it's getting old.. Like me.
