Looks like a Spoon hardtop for the S2000.

I don't miss my s2k at all. Steering feel doesn't exist in one. Uber precise steering but no feel at all. I liked the power and the transmission is the best I've ever driven. It's also noisy and annoying as a dd (lack of space). I never used mine except for autox and the one track day I could run without a bar.

I couldn't tell you, but others drift and slide all the time without problems as long as the car is up to temp. Only problems I've heard from the diff is from repeated launching and clutch kicking. The LSD was designed with oversteer in mind

The CDV is the saver of the diff more than anything else.

1. I would rather have a hardtop than a convertible.
2. Its a new car vs an old used car even though it maybe cheaper.
3. More space with the 86/FR-S/BRZ.
4. S2000 interior just looks boring.
5. The exterior is rather bland with compared to the 86/FR-S/BRZ.

Before the frs when I only had my mr2, I was thinking long and hard about selling the sw20 and getting an s2k. I wanted something with sharper and more precision handling. The s2k makes for very competitive track carver and adding power comes easy.

I'm glad I kept my sw20 and did not go the s2000 route as now I have the frs as my sharper cornering car. The frs does everything the s2000 can but with less power and backseats. The handling is better than the s2000 imo. Not by much, granted. But still better (easier to control, slightly sharper, and better chassis; full hardtop!)

Most important of all, the s2000 never really won me on the looks. It's bland and boring to be honest. Styling means a lot to me and the s2k just doesn't quite turn me on or wow me. It's more like... "mehhh, s2k". The frs looks tons better and has more of an exotic flavour. But I still think the mr2 looks better than both :p

Another is the s2000 is a rag top. I HATE convertbles! The interior is definitely tighter but also very premium though.

I needed a DD and it had to have back seats no matter how small they were. The s2000 is a 2 seater; and I already have a 2 seater. There's no way I'm gonna have two 2seaters at the same time. Although not very practical, the frs walks that thin line of "just enough" practicality.

If the s2k was a full hardtop 2+2 with a trunk like the frs, there's no questioning I would be in one.

Another factor why I chose the frs was the fact that I can carry my race wheel/tires! That marketing fact definitely appealed to me as I can't do that in my mr2 nor would I be able to do that in the s2k.

I have seen many people answered with "S2000"

So my question is

Why did you not buy the S2000 ? Considering it is Cheaper ?
Because I own a s2000

RE: Reason not to buy a used S2000.

Because you can buy a used ITR. Just picked up a used ITR. First of all, the motor just sings to 8.4k redline. It's almost orgasmic. It's raw, reliable, not a convertable, and cheap.

The FT86 definitely has better creature comforts, but it's not really reliable and cheap in terms of it being a track car.

Will probably be selling the BRZ soon.

Paging @Dave-ROR

Congrats on the ITR! Agree with you on the sound. More intake/engine noise than exhaust, and it sounds fantastic.

Why are you paging me? In reference to your ITR or because you think I need a 5th car? lol

I never understood folks who wanted to remove that. I was like, "Why would you knowingly remove a thing that greatly improved the life of the expensive bits?"

Not all enthusiast logic, to me, is logical. Like putting tinted covers over tail lights and head lights. Covering up 2 things that are directly related to safety and for what? "cuz it looks dope yo!"

LOL I don't need a 5th car for sure. I only insure 3.. well 2 right now since I haven't put insurance on the M3 yet I need to register/tag it still also. BRZ sucks for insurance for me. Ugh. I should sell it just based on what the damn car costs me to own lol

Yeah, never understood that either. It stayed fully functional on my car

Congratulation on picking up the ITR

I have been looking around in the ITR section, and it is very hard to find one, either beaten to dead, or mod to dead, or Over-priced.

S2k, however is easier, and better to find a good price for
