Sell the car, buy a clunker, and with the monthly savings get a place that has a covered garage.. Problem solved.. Oh wait...

It looks like there are a bunch of dog people here.

All you have to do is spray the cat with water a few times. Aim for the face. She will get the message.

God not my cat. She runs away for about thirty seconds and then comes right back... "MEOW! MEOOOOOOOOOOOW!"

Pretty much your options are get a car cover, call a shelter, adopt the cat, or the best method of all..

I do believe that they quit making antifreeze sweet tasting for this reason. So I have heard.

Oh god, they're developing resistance! You must sterilize the cat.

Mine too. Shortly after we adopted her we wanted her to stay out of the kitchen because she always wanted to jump on the counters. That in and of itself wasn't a huge deal, but we were afraid she'd jump onto a hot stove. So we put tape down, face up. She played with it. We put aluminum foil sheets on the counter and over the walkway. Crumpled that up and played with it too. We've since moved and she doesn't jump often anymore, but what she does now is watch us while we're getting ice out of the fridge. If a stray piece falls onto the floor, it's fair game and hers, and she'll bat it around until it melts.

Seriously, you may get a couple of light scratches but try setting off the panic alarm while the cat's on the car. Only took two times to convince one of our stubborn cats to stay off our Corolla in the driveway. Now he won't even go NEAR the car.

If you want some fun, set up your camera and record it - you won't believe how high they can jump! The first time I did it he went about 5 feet straight up.

Sometimes you have to let them touch hot before they learn. I have an orange tabby that did that right after we brought him to a new home. Poor thing cried like a little girl.

Smell is important to a cat. If they smell anything strong or offensive they'll typically move on. You might try vinegar or lemon. Try to keep it off the paint though.

I also have a similar problem, except its with my own cat that just seems to hate me (but loves everyone else in the family)!

We have a two lane drive way so I've even tried parking on the opposite side to the front door (the cat loves to stay on our cars and then jump off them directly onto the front porch), but recently I noticed cat paws all over the front.

I got myself a black car too so its quite noticeable and I'm afraid of scratches, and the worst part is once I did see excrement on it too. You can not believe how upset I was seeing that!

I'll be visiting a pet store soon and take a look at my options... I'll be getting a 'professional' car coat on it soon too.
