I am new to detailing cars, can anyone help?

I am in need of detailing my car, I have some light scratches and a lot of swirls.
My question is after a wash and clay bar, what is the order for the sealant, polish, and wax? Also what method do you guys suggest to apply these product for a beginner so it doesn't ruin the paint.

Unless your car's paint is messed up, I'd suggest you wash it with warm, soapy (dishwashing soap, to remove old wax) water.

Clay bar, following instructions on the kit.

Wax it with a good quality wax, again following the instructions on the bottle/can.

That should make er shine ....

getting paint to shine isn't all that hard. Getting a swirl free finish takes a lot of work. Paint correction is not learned overnight. Theres a reason I'm booked well in advance and its not because I vacuum so well.

Well, that's why I prefaced my suggestion with "unless your car's paint is all messed up" ....

Heck, I don't know .... I've just been washing and waxing cars for the past 67 years ..... yep, put a nice shine on my tricycle at age 3 .....

Anybody remember what 20 coats (hand rubbed) of candy apple red lacquer looks like.....
