It just really stuck out in that photo. When do we get the write up on your RobiSpec modified cooling solution?

The temperature reduction here in Phoenix is insane, @robispec this I must say, nice job, the install is a very tight fit but my issues are from my waste gate

In a stock car I bet the fit is better,by no means easy so I want to see @Sportsguy83 review

I'm about to order one for the other car, soo good, soo needed for Fi builds. I can pound relentless on it and water barely breaks 210, ever with my foot buried gear after gear at 10psi.

I could get water to 235 and oil to 270 way too easy before, not anymore

Buy something in FT86speedfactory and be $30 short for the free shipping offer, makes it very tempting to get when getting it will save you around $30 on shipping....

Review is complete, comment away!!

Disclaimer: This is my experience with my car, any other car can be considerably different, including different mods.

@robispec total cooling solution Install: So I agreed with several forum members that the BEST cooling solution available is Robispec's. Dropped the car at the shop (as I knew I did not have the tools available to complete this install) and got it back around 2 weeks later...

The Radiator is BIG, quality looks REALLY good and the sandwich plate is off the charts.

Not to bore you guys anymore, here are the details of how it all went.

It was painful, required some custom modding some even that make me a little uncomfortable. To start, the top Oil fitting in the radiator is basically in contact with the car's body. Moving the radiator as far to the passenger's side as possible did not help much. This part worries me as the aluminum fitting is weaker than the metal body...

The bolt below was replaced with a shorter to allow even more room towards the passenger side.

The sandwich plate had one of its ports cross threaded and needed to be tapped and cleaned. Not a huge deal, but some nervous moments as I didn't know if the plate was going to need replacement.

The Perrin CAI has a very specific notch that goes above the OEM radiator and obviously the new thicker radiator would not fit in it. Needed to modify the radiator support beam to make room for the CAI.

Continued in the next post....

This is when this got really tricky.... Since I was moving the IC towards the front, now the hoses would not fit properly with the stock bumper beam.... So we proceeded to cut it...

First small cuts, but still needed to go way more for the hoses to fit properly...

Andres @KAB-FRS raping the shit out of my car....

This is what the final cuts looked like.

My stock IC brackets where about and inch far from the back, cut them and moved them farther back and gained around 3/4". It was still not enough room (did't take a pic of the new brackets location).

So after moving the AC Condenser brackets even farther back, this is the end result.
MAYBE 1 mm space between the IC and AC condenser bracket bolt and less the 1/8 inch distance between Radiator and AC condenser.

Car coming back together

Ahhhhhh... the mythical EVAP solenoid and its unclamped lines!! @KAB-FRS was able to get to them by moving the AC compressor completely out of the way. That was IT. No intake removed, not fuel lines to disconnect. AWESOME JOB!!!!!

BTW, big thanks to @448hpsti who with his insistence it could be done without removing a thing, determined Andres to do it without removing a thing.

Did some custom painting on the IC. Needed to rep the guy who has had to dealt with all the BS about my build and has converted a whole series of bad situations into magic pixy dust. @KAB-FRS !!

Finally, this is what the engine bay looks like now:

@KAB-FRS moved the Perrin CAI bracket to make it fit with the AVO kit, now it doesn't look weirdly looking to the sky @lbroskee

All in all, I am happy with the cooling solution. I did have to modify the car beyond what was reasonable to me and required a lot of pain, custom fabing and creativity by @KAB-FRS. I could have never installed this in my garage. I know it sounds like a broken old recorder, but Andres is fucking awesome! I will keep recommending him and going all the way up there huge grin in the face!
