That makes sense now. I was reading as the tech put that in the notes, but looking at it again, it does read more like that was the last update applied.

Muaddib, did you have you car in for any updates/repairs since you bought it?

Very useful and informative tool .. Also does OBDII diagnostics.. And sets options like DRL on- off, timers, etc..
I'm assuming these are different from the ELM 327 OBD2 scanners. Can you link the software download or the thread you got it from and the seller you purchased your unit from? Thanks in advance!

Do a search on this site.. There are threads and links to the software download and for the cable itself. Also info on how to install and use.

USA Customers, take the following steps to receive the updated calibration that should address the DI seal issue:

Step 1: Remove your ECU
Step 2: Place in your oven full Broil for 60 minutes, let cool
Step 3: Reinstall ECU
Step 4: Call your dealer to tow your car and install a new ECU.

Thank you for this slight inconvenience.

What makes you think you won't get a new ECU with the same calibration you had to begin with ?
Until they fix the system... That's probably what you would get.

If they haven't built a car with the old ECU in 9 months odds are the old ones are out of their system.
I may wait a little longer or I may just say F- it and toast the ECU

I would apply DC voltage to various connection points on the ECU itself, say 100v or so.. Fry the internals, not the case..
They might have a warehouse or two full of preprogrammed ECU's laying around with old programming ready to be matched up to a certain VIN number range..
It wouldn't surprise me... Good luck with your espionage.. I don't blame you for wanting it corrected.. It's ridiculous how screwed up something fairly simple can be when it comes to large corporations..

Was driving last night (14,943 miles), and stopped for gas. Left for the highway, and hit a CEL in 3rd. I hadn't reached the highway speed limit of 75mph yet. Took the next exit, and pulled a P0351.

Tonight, I was driving on a 2 lane 75mph road, stuck behind a car behind a pickup/trailer doing 55mph. Downshifted, and passed both only to get another CEL. Pulled the code, and grabbed the freeze frame data.

Only mod to the car is painting the plastic cover on the intake manifold. Ran puregas since getting the car home to keep the crickets away. Local stations switched to E10 this summer, but been going to the station that squeaks least.

Been reading through multiple threads tonight. Is this a sign my DI seals are gone?
