The seal problem in direct-injection injector of FA20
Whether Mr. I had wrote, "it would be blown seal", various research in the mood a little. Information does not come out Rokusuppo When it is page of Japanese, it was examined while traveling overseas site. If you would say from the conclusion, FA20 of production in 2012 like most appropriate, seal seems to really fly. But, is a point to be worried about by reading a problem. First, it's the cause, but this engine is not it will be Enbure state when you shift up at full throttle state short, and the accelerator fully closed. In synchronous speed'm down to shift-up from Enbure state, the timing of clutch engagement and accelerator pedal depression is not carried out correctly, then, transition to the pressurized state abruptly from the vacuum pressure state, constant conditions temperature distribution has resulted in an error while you are doing the injection, so seal with play, I seem to come off is. After all, the strength of the back torque so affected. If you look at the occurrence conditions, I went ① shift up, full throttle in 0.6 seconds, accelerator fully closed, fully open the accelerator. And ②, gear position at that time, as much as possible and 3 → 4,4 → 5,5 → 6 or more · 7450rpm → 5200rpm is a rpm range of conditions exist. It is like that. Be at 5200rpm or more when you shift up at the point, mapping of this region because it is not tailored to throttle changes and rapid rotation speed variation, seal seems to be blown off causing the abnormal combustion. In conditions that occur in this, in this report it was written clearly , run on closed course such as Circuit (truck use) and, usually "Special intense traveling" in different conditions (unique aggressive driving) I What is. In other words, it comes from the shift-up (even 4.1 final) three or more speeds, this means you are out 138km / h or more inevitably, and yet, at this speed range as "shift-up brute force like an idiot," "clutch Don connection It seems to not occur and do not do ". The first place, you do not operate like that, kind of burning because not occur, and the case is. Or if the conditions that might be too fuck intake and exhaust, transient gas completely different from the original situation is occurring. You can see if you read up to here, this condition, rarely happens. After, it seems I'm a phenomenon that does not occur absolutely to people who are driving polite.
So it's from slipping the clutch at a high RPM I gather.

I don't hate Scion, I love my FR-S. I just happen to have worked with other engineers who now work for Toyota. You seem to think these cars are perfect, no car is perfect.

I know you like going to Scion events and getting smooched by marketing reps into thinking all is rosy, but the first step to continuous improvement is acknowledging an issue.

That's all customers who drive their car in the power band have asked for. Just because you drive your car "polite" as the spot on translation above describes does not mean everyone has to resort to accepting that sort of performance.

Blah blah blah.. You make no sense as usual.. I don't baby my cars, I have a 2013 feb build, so I probably already have the 01 programming.. As most of the people on here do that you keep telling to drive slow and easy or it will melt..
You have no idea what your talking about or have a clue as to what is going on regarding these cars.. Other than your paranoia over DI seals which you have blown totally out of proportion.. You have fun now..

@radroach This part of your googletranslation made me chuckle:

"Or if the conditions that might be too fuck intake and exhaust, transient gas completely different from the original situation is occurring."

Well that explains it.

It looks like cars produced from January 21st 2013 and on have the newer calibration file.
