B pillar is the one behind the driver. The C pillar is the one that comprises the rear wind screen.

B pillar = front seat belts
C pillar = rear seat belts


I switched to my summer wheels/tires yesterday because today is 65 degrees.

There isn't really a B pillar for the 86/BRZ, more like an AC pillar. Maybe if they go through with this monstrosity:

There's most definitely a structural B pillar. From the outside it's less visible since we have one door, then the small quarter window which leads right into the C pillar. There's some real good models of the unibody that depict the tensile strength of the various portions with the highest tensile strength steel comprising the B pillar and the roof beam that goes across from one B pillar to the other.
