Yes, but an FC is SOOO easy to gut or shed weight too (without feeling like your in a gutted race car)

Those aren't exactly high numbers.
My pristine and perfectly maintained '90 RX-7 blew apex seals at 106k miles Not a single rotor-head was remotely surprised...

Apparently the older ones are more reliable, though. My info is that to meet emissions standards, they had to cut back on the amount of oil injected. If I go rotary again ever, I'll probably run premix...
My second rx-7 198 S4.5 FC3S went to 144k before I had to do work on it... slight compression drop on the rear rotor. It came out for a 20b swap that never happened. Only work that was needed until then was basic matainance, seasonal EIG fuse pull/flooding fix, and an alternator. Could of easily ran it another 12 months. Beat on daily. My first one (NA FD) didn't last even a month... boost in, apex seals out.

I really miss her after getting my BRZ's 4-digit sales tax... I only paid $65/109 personal property on my RX-7's.

an FD is on my list of cars to get, probably after i end up with another STI. i need a winter car to save the FRS from an early death if I plan on keeping it
