Welp!! My cars first boo boo

So I just got my first scratch on my car and it is entirely my fault uuuughh!

Was pulling into a parking space but came it a little to wide and barely nicked my front bumper into the curb. Yes I am a idiot I should pay more attention etc....

Does anyone have experience with a similar curb rash to your front bumper ?

How much do you think it would cost to get it repaired ?

If the cost are the same as a TRD front lip should I just go that route so its covered up ?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated and please keep the trolling to a minimum

Most places will remove the bumper, tape, sand, spray, repeat prev. 2 steps, then clear. I'd say maybe $350-$400 since you're in Cali.

Or find a Mexican shop to do it for $100. The results will be hit-or-miss.

I just had by entire bumper repainted for 6 bills. Granted.. the damage was alot worse than yours. Luckily your paint is allot easier to match so it should be cheaper... I'd say approx $500 for a pro job, maybe 400 because everything is cheaper in america. Best of luck, and stay away from the mexican shops!

with that price do you think it would be better just to opt for the TRD front lip ? It would be very close to that price range and I was considering one down the line.

How much do you care about it being perfect?
Going to a detailer to buff out the small stuff and using some touch up will be cheaper

Depends on the price you can get it painted for and whether you're okay with just having a front lip and not the other panels.

But in seriousness that totally sucks that you got a scrape like that - best of luck getting it fixed up. Maybe you can buy a lip that will help hide it if it still looks off after having it touched-up?

You are probably looking at 300-400$ depending on the shop. If it was my car I would just put a TRD or C-West kit on it.

yeah... I am more disappointed in myself then anything.

Pretty much all in my head is should've could've would've.

Oh well though like I said I might just opt to get a painted TRD lip kit and just cover it up cause I wanted to get one in the future anyways but wanted to wait awhile so I guess a blessing in disguise ? lol...

Does anyone know in the releasing of the new 1.0 series that possibly their will be a USDM TRD lip kit with the other colors and not just yellow ?

I was trying to look up some post that talked about that but had no luck.

Yep, scars happen.......

I'd suggest you buff it out as best as you can; wait a week and see if you still notice it ...... if you do ..... how many $ worth.
