Ultra low jack options?
Before I get yelled at I did search for about 40 minutes.
Anyways I'm wondering if anyone has found a good low profile jack that can reach the front center jack point? Of course price is a concern but functionality is the most important issue. So give me some feed back about how you guys are getting the car in the air

I've gotten my jack from this place. I got the AFF Model 200T. But I wanted a jack that was lower than most, but sturdy. I don't like getting a cheap jack that I couldn't fix. I can buy the parts from the manufactuer, unlike the cheap autozone jacks. The 200T is built like a tank, literally it is a solid 80lbs.
Either way, they have lots of options and I have ordered more than just the jack from them. http://www.asedeals.com/auto_shop_jacks.html |

I got the harbor freight 1.5 ton aluminum racing jack when it was on sale, for like 60. Works fine, reaches front support and has more than enough room for a 2x4 to protect the car.

Lowered with a lip kit installed? Probably gonna need to drive it up on some 2x4s before you could even fit the lowest of the low profile jacks.
I have an Arcan XL325R that I bought from Costco about 2 years ago for $100. It's low profile and rapid pump. Worked great on my slammed STI and works great on my lowered on RCE Yellow BRZ. |

Harbor freight has a steel jack on sale right now for 148. It's very low 2 3/4" I believe. Rapid pump, and the actual lift is 21" from the pivot point. I believe I'll be buying this jack sometime next week. I do like the aluminum jacks but this will stay in the garage so weights not an issue. This is also the longest flattest and lowest jack at harbor freight

Brunnhoelzl Low Profile: http://www.brunnhoelzl.com/low_profile_jacks.html
The cup is 2.5" from the ground. If that doesn't fit under your radiator support then you might want to rethink your priorities. Either that or buy a set of plastic ramps and use whatever jack you want. |

my low aluminum harbor freight 1.5 ton has been working like a champ as primary jack for about 5 years now, won't hesitate to buy another when it does die
