Found the perfect spot for an extinguisher
Mine fits perfect. there are 2 screws underneath the cup holder mat that you can use to hold down a bracket.

I need to have an extinguisher installed and within reach of the driver for the hill climb I'm doing tomorrow.
I didn't want to drill into anything and I almost forgot about it. I just happened to find those 2 screws under there after I saw it would fit. This way it is easily removed and you can put the cup holder and mat back in and it's like it was never there |

Can you provide any info on your extinguisher? It's a perfect fit.

If only I didn't value a cup holder over a fire extinguisher!

I would only use it when required for a track day. Other wise the cupholder would be installed

That's amazing. I hope that was intentional on the part of the designers.

RazBRZ, thanks again for the idea.
Ran to Wallyworld yesterday and picked up a Kidde Auto Fire Extinguisher. Same dimensions as yours. Ran $14.00 ![]() I made a mounting plate out of 3/16" aluminum. 5" x 4.25". Drilled and countersunk for the extinguisher mount and drilled for the armrest bolts. I ended up using some longer bolts that I had to mount the plate.

Very clever! I'll hafta remember that if I get to take my future BRZ to a hillclimb or HPDE.

If I wanted to take the time, or if someone decides to mfg a mount like this. It's easy enough to dimple the metal down enough to MAYBE use the stock hardware. I think I ended up using something approx. 1" long. I'll get a pic of the mounting plate and hardware when I get home.
