Missing panel under glove box?

Just bought used BRZ 2020 and noticed under the glove box it looks like there is a missing panel. The dealer said that this is normal. Do you guys have the same thing or is there something missing?

It's not in "line of sight" if you're a normal person sitting in the seat.
No, they don't cover up the bottom of the dash on the drivers side either.
It's normal.

They didn't give us half the underside aero panels on the '13 models.
Class action!

Haha yeah I had the same feeling when I picked car back from workshop after it got repaired. When I was reinstalling dashcam and leaned here I was like "wait... was it like that before or did they just forget to put something back after removing floor mats?...". I didn't care all that much so I didn't ask them but I'm glad I found my answer here
