New BRZ owner!

I’ve been test driving cars since selling my 2013 Miata and the BRZ and Miata RF were at the top of my list after the test drives. Yesterday morning, my local dealer sent me a text with a pic of a 2017 WR Blue BRZ with performance pack coming off of the delivery truck. After a couple of messages back and forth they made me an offer I couldn’t refuse. Glad to be joining the club!

Beauty!

What were your reasons for selecting over the Miata?

Congratulations !

Now you'll have to get used to cornering in a car which leans a lot less than a Miata, and has way better seats.

I was pretty evenly split between the BRZ and Miata RF, each had its pros and cons. Ultimately... the added utility, better price and more planted driving feel won out for the BRZ. My NC Miata had a lot of storage cubbies and interior room for a 2 seater, the ND Miatas have almost no storage at all inside the cabin. A Club Miata RF was going to be thousands more than the BRZ was fully loaded. The RF also had more body roll than I preferred.

I hear you on the roll. I went from a 911 Turbo to Miata to FRS. The roll in the Miata was comical. My brother has one with coils, bars and 235's and that is a planted car. Stock however is a different story
