interior room concerns

at just a hair under 6-5 i'm concerned i won't fit in the toyobaru. most of the time my issue fitting in a Japanese sports car is centered around the lack of steering wheel adjustment in that it doesn't clear my knees. would love to have one but i'm not gonna be crampin' it. here's to hoping for the best possible result. :happy0180:

Im 6'7" and I fit in my rx8 with another 3 full grown adults (6' up) with plenty of room I can't comfortably sit in the drivers seat in the sunroof model cus I don't like to lean back too much, but thats just me.. I can't see this being that much smaller internally, all they have to do is make it a 2+2 rather than a 4 seater like the 8

2+2s are what they are, compact. A test drive would be any tall persons best bet lol

I'm 6'3" and the only cars that I had issues with are a second-gen Miata and a Yaris.

In the Miata I had to shuffle steer as the wheel was solid against my legs and had to shrug and slouch with the roof up.

Yaris had to do with the seating angle and my legs not matching up with the gas pedal, caused a cramp in my leg after 20 minutes. Room everywhere else.

5th gen Civic fit me like a glove, with a sunroof.

So I'm hoping the FT86 is ok.

You should really learn to drive stick. You'll have so much fun and you'll never go back.

I got question, b4 i ask, let me say: I do know how to drive stick in another country BUT... question:

In the city( specially NYC), When i parallel park with a stick shift, do I ride the clutch?

( Our parking in the city is really tight, I parked in a space with a gap about an inch)

I see you live in the city too? Your insight might be useful xD

Eh sure, in an automatic car, I usually do not give the car gas. I just let it move itself, unless on a hill.(not neutral lols, you know, when you put it in D(drive) the car pulls itself. Same with Reverse)

So Do i ride the clutch because i do not want to give the car gas when parking in tight spots ( afraid of hitting car in front and back)

also asking because if i dont ride the clutch, i would stall

that's pretty much what i do i live in LA so lots of traffic here too (probably not the same as the cramped streets of NYC but yeah). you cant really make super small adjustments otherwise you'll just stall. so lots of clutch and then release it partially to blip the throttle as needed.

then again i havn't been driving manual all that long so maybe some one with more experience can offer better advice.
