New Zealand Orders

Has any kiwi's placed an order for a 86?

How's your experience been? I placed an order on a GT86 about a week ago and still don't have an eta. There is only 100 coming here this year - I imagine they will sell out before shipment.

Not yet, kinda keen to see one in the flesh and then negotiate a finance deal... also keen on some TRD gear but not sure if I can add that to finance

Cool - I couldn't help myself - seems like not to many kiwis know about the 86 yet.

I've ordered black - I heard they are coming in first with silver and red. Other colours are coming September.

Yeah that's the hard part is choosing the colour, another reason why I want to see them in real life. I like the dark grey but white makes the black features on it stand out more... hmmm

I put a deposit down on June 8th for a Tornado Grey 86 GT and told a week later my vehicle was confirmed for July production and possible delivery in August. I'm not sure if that is sales talk but I am expecting it to be pushed back to September.

The guy I spoke to also said that some colours will be available in July and the rest in August/September

Oh well, might give me some time to get my finances sorted then

It's a tough choice, at least the white already has TRD parts in the same colour

I put my deposit down for a tornado grey as well with the aero kit on 12 June.

Not too sure about the wing that comes with the aero kit but the skirts etc are a much cheaper option than the TRD version and I can always revert back to the standard rear spoiler.

Colour was the hardest thing but I think I'm at peace with my choice of grey now although the white with the TRD options looks pretty cool.

I've been told Sept delivery. Nationwide launch on 22 August I think they said and from 1st September.

Yeah I'm starting to sway more towards the aero kit vs TRD for now.

Hmm white vs tornado grey... damn!!

I think white > grey - all the black on the car stands out and looks awesome on the white. Grey was the most popular colour on the 86 Facebook page today - so maybe you'll be more unique with a white firefly.

I have just cancelled the aero kit as was having doubts about the big rear wing on the NZ aero kit.

I like the skirts etc but then looked at ground clearance as well and at 120mm standard that's already 50mm lower than my 200SX and the aero kit will likely lower the front spoiler by at least 25mm (an inch) to leave only 95mm of clearance.

My driveway and carpark building both have steep ramps onto flat road and gutters so am concerned it would hit.

Think it's better I get the standard GT86 and then when the cars are in NZ have a look at the TRD kit front clearance before changing it.

Anyone in Oz know the clearance at the front spoiler of the TRD kit yet?

Just had confirmation that mine is "August build, delivery late Sept". Was hoping for early Sept but will be worth the wait!

I'm considering getting the TRD kit upon ordering in white.

I've been tossing up other add-ons but I feel like I need to appreciate the car as it is so that I have something to compare against when I upgrade parts

Congrats nzer - one month is worth the wait for the right colour. I didn't get the aero kiet for the same reason - worried about the clearance
