Rear Bumper Repair?
I got back from a couple of weeks overseas to find that some a-hole had hit my car. No note, of course. The damage isn't serious, but the rear bumper on the driver's side is scuffed and scratched. Looks like the scratches are too deep to just buff out. Anyone have tips on how to fix it? I'd rather do it myself than have to cough up several hundred bucks.

Depends on how balls deep you want to go. Try buffing it first with medium grit polishing compound and then a finer grit compound- finish with a buff. Or if it's too deep I've heard, never tried, use touch up paint over the scratch. Let it dry, sand down with different stages of sandpaper ending at around 2000 grit. Compound and buff. Other than that- live with it or body shop.
