Single Exit Catback
Hey i'm most likely going to get a single exit cat here soon but wanted opinions on the ones i've narrowed it down too, I really like the HKS, and Tanabe but because the Megan drift spec single exit is way cheaper I figure it should be considered has anyone had experience with these Ive seen the Tanabe reviewed on here but not the others, just enjoy the look, sound and lightness is always good. Thanks.

Every car will sound different depending on mods, FI, tune, and other exhaust pieces. This is a given.
I'm running the Tomei 80r on my FB turbo BRZ with full 3'' catless exhaust. It is loud, but has zero drone. On my last car, my local muffler shop fabbed me up a single exit axle-back setup for under $200. He put my car on the lift, and held many different mufflers up to the pipe so I could choose how my car sounded. This was very cool, and I ended up very happy with my car sounding as good, or better than the expensive pre-made systems. It didn't have the sweet welds, but it sounded awesome, looked identical from the outside, and cost $1200 less, and weighed 35 pounds less than the equivalent offering from BMW. There are a few very nice single exit exhausts available as well. I just wanted to mention that any good muffler shop can make a simple axle-back single exit exhaust (and probably offer to let you listen to different mufflers) for very little money. |
