Which kit??

Hi all from a Sunny UK.

I have a new in the box stage 4 AVO turbo kit and a used low miles JDL kit with a GTX3071. My Motor has forged internals and I am looking for around 500 bhp. Which kit would you recommend I use, and why.

I guess the major difference is the internal vs external wastegate?

Thanks

Can't speak to the AVO kit but I do love my JDL kit with the GTX3076. That and JDL's customer service is impeccable.

Have the JDL recently installed and can't say anything but great things. Get ball bearing and recirc wastegate unless you're into the loudness

Thanks for your replies guys... seems like the JDL is fav ourite right now??

I have the ball bearing Turbo and external turbosmart screamer pipe. The kit includes a full 3" exhaust including overpipe and all band clamps. I'm not keen on the JDL twin exit system so will probably get a 3" HKS single exit cat back.

Oh, also have the spal fans.

I bought the car with all this stuff on it and have converted it back to stock.. long story.... I'm building a replica RB1 Trackday car..

I have the AVO kit and has been as advertised. But If your goal is 500+ hp not sure if AVO is the right kit unless the stage 4 AVO comes with a bigger turbo.

The stage 4 kit is quoted as having a bigger billet turbo, larger intercooler up pipe and larger intercooler.

It is quoted as "suitable for 400HP plus", trouble is, how much is "plus" and how much will the internal wastegate be able to handle??

Basically, I have bought Steveoexige's car, which features on this site in a few threads. He took in some water and wrecked the engine. I bought the car for a good price and am using most parts off it for my own project. Steves old car will be a daily driver.
