I personally like the sound of the hks bov, I had on on my front mounted 02 wrx and boosted Teg and never had issues even though I have heard of seizing issues.

May I ask which ones these are? I do agree many sound like the type RS, RZ, R & FV but I can't think of any that sound like the typeS

SSQV is a close second. Probably the only factor that have the type S the upper hand to me is that I don't hear or see many with its sound. In fact when I was in my teens I preferred the HKS SSQV then the type S was second but I don't know why the laser beam sound is something I want. It's most just the "whoosh" most all the others produce. A lot of kits come with the goal which sounds pretty nice too.
