Hey All,

I am in the restaurant business and I currently am Manager at Artu Restaurant in the North End. One of my staff members came up with an idea and it turned into a ball of love. Here are the details:


The events that took place on Marathon Monday broke our hearts. We cannot take back the pain and suffering caused by the selfish carnage but we can help support the victims. To do this, members of Artu’s bar staff decided to hold a special charity event on Sunday.

Come by on Sunday, April 21 from 12pm to 2am at Artu’s on 6 Prince Street and bartenders Antony, Silvio and Christopher will be donating 100% of their service tips in honor of the heroes and victims of the Boston Bombings. Graciously, Artu’s owner Nancy Pelczar has agreed to match 100% of the tips we make. We’re calling it: Tips Against Tears

Don’t miss out on this special event. Come by for great food, drinks and positive selfless energy!

The charity we have decided to donate to is through the New England Patriots Charitable Foundation, where the Kraft Family, owners of the New England Patriots, will match up to $100,000 and will be earmarked for The One Fund. What this means is simple: Whatever service tips we make on Sunday is doubled by our boss and then tripled by The Krafts. Lets make this a full day affair and show how Boston rolls
