Thank you!

Just wanted to give thanks to all the people posting and complaining about every little problem. I mean it.

I will say that it makes me feel very lucky. I feel like I got a relatively problem free vehicle. I know that, in truth, I am likely in the majority as there is typically little reason for most to chime in to say everything is just dandy.

I do experience the engine chirp and am not pleased with it but am also confident that it will be addressed. Toyota released a TSB in 2011 for the 2AZ-FE 2.4L used in several cars between Toyota and Scion due to oil consumption. It requires practically an entire engine rebuild yet the problem is difficult to diagnose and only effects some owners rather than all. Here we have a brand new vehicle that appears to chirp for all that use gas with 10% ethanol. I believe this will be sorted.

Heck, they already released a TSB that involves a new ECU for cars built prior to the fix at the production line and this was just to give us the ability to have DRL turned off.

I'm only afflicted with the one issue yet I know exactly what to keep an eye out for because of the guys on the forum. So I wanted to say thanks and keep it up but please keep it productive. Also, be cognisant of the fact that we have a sub-forum in the Technical section specifically for this stuff. Contributing to the existing threads is more helpful than starting a new one here for every new squeak.

Also, let's have the folks experiencing little to no issues actually chime in here as opposed to keeping quiet. It might be good to show the enthusiasts currently browsing and potentially second guessing themselves while shopping that these companies DO know how to build a car.

Great community here and that community and this forum is making for an amazing resource for this car.

I to have pretty much no issues with the car thus far. The chirping comes and goes. And thats about the only real complaint i have. And this forum just makes it easy and refreshing to follow people who have the same issue and the ones that help me determine what im hearing.

I haven't noticed the chirping but I do hate E10 (seriously affects driveability of my Ninja 250). I do have an assortment of annoying rattles that come and go. I'll be buying the armrest. Other than that, zero trouble and like the car quite a bit.

I feel the same way! Reading threads in TSB/Issues makes me check my car over, and gives my a piece of mind, sort of. Haven't noticed any mechanical problems with the car after 2000 miles, and i've driven it hard from day 1, but i'm keeping my fingers crossed.
