Borla catback and tanabe front pipe??
I've never posted anything before but I've been reading what you all have had to say for about a year. I just gotta say, this is a pretty awesome crowd we've got here. Anyway, I've been trying to find someone who has a tanabe catless front pipe or something similar, combined with a borla catback or axle back exhaust (they both pretty much sound the same). I have like $1000 to spend and this was the setup I was looking at. Let me know if I'm a total idiot or if I have a great idea.

Don't bother with the front pipe or the exhaust. Take that 1000 dollars and get the OpenFlash tablet and header combo. Best bang for the buck performance mod.
Unless of course you just want your car to be louder. In that case, still don't bother with a front pipe. Just get whichever exhaust you like the most. |

What is your goal with your exhaust? More power, sound, weight reduction, etc.

This forum has yet to fail me
Anyway, I'm not really going for any power gains. If I get more torque, awesome! I'm mostly just going for a deeper and louder sound. I know that the borla UEL header really gives the kinda sound that I'm looking for, but I figured something similar might be accomplished by deleting the other cat with the front pipe. Correct me if I'm wrong |

Borla UEL and an axle back should be your best bet for a nice deep tone with zero rasp. |
