You're welcome. If they don't have it...well, you must want something unobtanium.

And you pay for it! If you can wait you can save a bit by using an alternative supplier like Grainger or a local source is almost always best. But Mcmaster is kind of the Amazon of hardware so it's the default choice.

Grainger doesn't have it and I shopped all local hardware stores in my area with no luck. I need it to put my shifter nob on Pearl...the car. It's a brass skull...

Paying for convenience never hurt anyone.

And mostly the discounts for local come along when you're looking for stuff like barstock or sheet metal.

Yeah, for really common stuff, I like going to my local store (fortunately, good old fashioned hardware stores still exist in my area). But for that one time I need a weird metric thread tap for that one odd job? I think the little bit of mark-up is worth my time and effort instead of going to multiple stores and most likely not finding what I need.

Finally got the right nuts from McMaster and the new shifter nob is in. Thanks again OrbitalEllipses for recommending them and everyone else that chimed in.

Yes the car has chrome but I've had this nob on every car I've owned and it just seems fitting. I like it

If your on a computer just find the picture and copy paste.. If you have tapatalk you can upload directly from phone.

P.s: if you don't have tapatalk, get it.
