Subaru Online Service Appointments
Well I thought I should make an appointment to get my taillights checked out finally. The subaru website lets you choose a dealer and shows available appointments to choose from. Well I guess they don't tell the dealer because I got there they looked at me like I had a **** on my forehead. Then when I told them why I was there they looked at me like I had just grown another **** next to the first one. Then they told me, looking at me in this same manner and with an attitude, they were going on lunch and I'd have to leave the car or come back in an hour.

I used the online schedule appointment service and worked for me. On the Sunday before labor day I sent in that I need my oil changed on the Tuesday after labor day. I got an email on Tuesday morning at 7 am sharp saying I was set up for 3 pm time slot(the time frame i requested). Had me out by 3:30-3:35.

Sounds like you chose a shitty dealership.

Yea looks like it. My right side is a fishbowl no problem. Left side has dried out with there is water spots in it. First they say only replacing right side, left is fine. I show him water spots he says they will replace the gasket. I ask why aren't you replacing the unit he says there isn't water in it. So now they said they are going to call a rep and ask if they can replace it and let me know.
As for the GPS he says its working at the moment you have to bring it in when it isn't working. ... this exactly why I put this off a year I should have just do it myself. |

That's basically what my dealership told me, too, regarding the fishbowl tail lights. I took a picture and e-mailed it to my service adviser and he told me to pound sand or go to a car wash and make the water stay in the lights.
I'm tempted to just fill the bitch up with water by taking out the bulbs. |

i was not impressed with subaru roadside assistance either. but i've been very impressed with my dealer (yark subaru in toledo, OH). they are always super fast and friendly and expert. plus, believe it or not, they beat the price for my flat tire replacement of not only belle tire and tireman, but even tire rack.com.

Sometime its better to hear it from the horse's mouth than sending a message through a website.

Last time i was at the dealer for a free oil change they had someone call in where they did a appointment online for services that the dealer didn't actually provide. They were explaining that they do just send a fax over and do not respond when the dealer contacts them back and says the cannot do that.

My dealer has the online thing as well, but doesn't seem to work. They suggest calling to make an appointment but im not sure they take the seriously as either... I'm gonna give it a shot next time, so if they make me wait 2hours for a third time im gonna stone cold stunner someone.

I registered online with mine to avoid calling in and having to talk with them... They called me to see when I wanted to setup an appointment.

Well I took a video today of my GPS "looking for signal" for 3 minutes while stationary in an open parking lot (after I had been driving for like an hour mind you). How much $ to bet they won't accept that as evidence of my GPS being shit?

I showed my dealer a video of my car's GPS showing me driving down the middle of the Tennessee river... That seemed to work for the issues I was having so I'd think that would work what you're seeing!
