Problems while changing hvac LEDs

I properly disassembled the hvac and switched the LEDs. I didn't like the white LED in the temp control so I redid it about 4 times. Now when changing the red LED in the first control to a brighter one, it absolutely doesn't light up. I've checked polarities and tried the original LED and nothing works. I suspect the circuit board may have blown or something (Im quite a n00b here).

Any ideas on what could have gone wrong?

For the first and last controls, I used the corvette leds from oznium and for the middle, I successfully soldered leds from digikey.
