Interesting stuff... but makes me wonder. You make it sound like you get a signficant amount of downforce in front with these louvers. Assuming an otherwise completely stock bodied BRZ/FRS, if you install the louvers would more rear downforce be needed, or just recommended? And would the louvers be a good alternative to a front splitter? (For me personally, living with louvers in the hood would be a lot easier than dealing with the impracticalities of a big front splitter -- i.e. dealing with ramps, driveways etc.).
