I've wondered that from the moment I laid eyes on the JGTC MR-S and Celica from the early 2000s (not to mention the NSX such as the ARTA cars).

Then I realized that while those massive wheels, widebody kits, front splitters and zero-ground clearance/zero-wheel gap look great and work great on glass-smooth pavement, they would last less than a day in an average urban environment.

Whereas WRC cars are made to handle rough roads, so street environments should be no problem.
