I assisted troubleshooting the issues and the team may be able to chime in with more info. Engine 1 was delivered to the team with 15W-50 oil which is way too thick, especially at our elevation. The car also had an elaborate oil routing system with huge lines and no Accusump. I suspect an oil pressure issue caused the 2nd engine to blow. Complicating all of this was a very tight mesh behind the OEM grille. It is extremely hard to cool cars at 4000ft and 100 degree weather when you're trying to rev them to 8000 rpm.
