Out of all the kits they have sold, I have only heard of one instance where a bypass valve wasn't functioning properly, and even though it was a used kit, JR still took it back to replace it under warranty. The kit is perfectly reliable even with the CARB tune. The CARB tune just doesn't make as much power as a custom tune. No need to get it if you don't live in California.
