I think it's worth researching and testing - maybe even developing a more elegant version (small plastic piece that diverts the water instead of a wall of goo). I'd certainly be inclined to buy a set of plastic diverters if they existed, just as an extra precaution.  |
My Crystal Eyes were second hand properly sealed, (I believe the gaskets were properly sealed by the factory).
Snow man snot is available at any stationary store - (the stuff to stick notes on fridges etc.). Non toxic, waterproof, doesn't melt in the summer, easily pliable, removable etc.
And only 99 cents ! Kamset Power Tack (or equivalent) - 4 sticks in a pack - all you need.
