Here's what I don't understand. Toyota is steadfastly against offering a higher performance GT 86 which tops out around $30k USD but this Supra is rumored to go for corvette money at roughly $65k. That's a $35k spread between the 2 cars.

From a pure business decision standpoint, where are current 86 owners supposed to go if they want more performance and don't want to deal with aftermarket headaches for a DD? IMO they need to offer a base model 4 cyl turbo Supra with roughly 330-350 hp at around $40k to keep current 86 owners in the fold and give them something to move up to.

Unless of course they plan to slot that revived Celica GT4 Tada hinted at a while back in between the 86 and the Supra then the pricing spread makes more sense.
