the rougher parts of chicago have much more interesting food menu's. working overnight once, me and the co-worker at the time were looking for something for 'lunch', so we stopped at the first food shop that we could find open at 1 am. it was a pizza place. "$5 slice" on the door. the owners concept of a 'slice' was to cut an 18" pizza into 3 pieces. he gave us the drinks for free.
my friends have many stories of burrito's the size of a basketball for under $8 as well.
