If they name it Corolla they will have doomed the car from the beginning. Not that the Corolla sucks but it doesn't exactly have a sporty image these days and I think the name and image of a sports car counts for a lot in terms of attracting interest and eventually sales. Toyota is already known these days as the maker of appliances on wheels so they are already fighting an uphill battle IMO.
