The "car community" has always been divided. It isn't one set of people that love all cars it is many different groups that love THEIR idea of cars. Those many different groups then have their own sub factions that think THEIR way is better. It hasn't changed since somebody painted the first Model T red.
What has changed is that now everybody is just supposed to smile and nod at everything whether they like it or not and not hurt some snowflake's feelings. Just because somebody expresses an different opinion doesn't make them a hater even if they hate it. So let's drop this everybody hold hands and sing kumbaya shit and let people express their opinions in any manner they wish.
