I don't see why they should handicap Supra sales in the hopes of selling more twins. Might rob *some* twin sales, but IMO it's better to have more rwd sports car options.

Not quite, it's more like 51.5/48.5.
As noted, 50/50 isn't "perfect", more rearward is better. So even if the I-6 Supra did have 50/50 distribution, the I-4 version should still be BETTER than that with a slightly rearward bias.
