I think they should make them with some sort of quick release kit so when winter comes or if you know your going to be driving on crappy roads that will have a lot of debris you can just pop them on and off in 2 mins.

I'm from Canada, eh? And my SWP BRZ after driving through slush and snow is why anyone would want mudflaps.
That being said, I agree - I can't see myself using any other colour than black for mudflaps.
Odd that the BRZ doesn't come with mudflaps up here though...
