I'm an NC native, and have lived in the triangle for the past 20 years. I love it here, but summers can be brutal, especially with some days in the upper 90's with humidity/heat index that pushes triple digits. On those days, you step outside and your shirt is instantly wet from sweat unfortunately. Make sure your house and car have adequate A/C!

On the flip side, Fall and Spring are wonderful here, and winters have tended on the mild side in that last decade. We see 1-3 "snow events" per winter at most. Nothing better than playing golf in the Fall here!
