it's called area under the curve. imagine if we compared average hp over the course of a pull as opposed to grabbing one data point from the top and comparing things that way (seems kinda stupid when you put it that way, doesn't it?). the turbo would positively destroy any centrifugal s/c. it's due to the fact that the compressor on a turbocharger is not mechanically linked to the crankshaft, and can increase rpm independent of engine rpm, thus producing full boost much sooner than the centrigual s/c. i think that's what he's getting at, and i'm pretty sure 99% of the people here already understand that. so really he's just trolling you.
but boost is boost, it's all better than being as slow as an na 86. i wouldn't buy a centrifugal given the available options, but i can see why some do.
