Yep. That is the piece that @
Frs300 had to have repaired on his blown motor. It is a cast aluminum piece that carries coolant across the top of the motor and supplies it to both sides of the motor and the throttle body. It is definitely under the intake manifold. Sounds like you can reach it without removing the intake manifold:
