It's not a good car for snow. In fact, it's one of the worst I've driven in snow. Specifically, you asked about large amounts of snow. Obviously there's not much ground clearance, so that makes it even worse.
When it comes down to it, a good driver in a car with good tires can get himself where he wants to go safely. The BRZ is no exception. Take your time, increase spacing with other cars and you'll be fine. Unless there's a foot or more of fresh snow, but then no one is going anywhere, anyway.
