"STI" just won the SP3T class in the Nurburgring 24 hours race this year. They left WRC due to changing regulations and switched to endurance racing instead since 2008 I believe:

In Japan STI is a real motorsport arm of Subaru and is alive and well. I especially like how their pit crew also includes master techs from their Japanese Subaru dealerships, very grassroots feel. I guess they gotta sell some street tuning parts and a few fully tuned street cars to make extra cash for supporting their racing effort. /marketing
BTW the STI parts catalog has been around since the 1st gen Legacy when they were supposedly rallying.
