The bottom picture you posted is what I would consider to be the unibody/body. The top picture would be platform/chassis (suspension, hubs, engine, etc.).

It seems both your Supraforums and ClubLexus posts were quick to bashing, but no one produced any actual proof to back their arguments up. Then again neither did I. I guess its just my opinion / speculation then.

You could be right about the LF-LC being too expensive, but lets see what happens.

BMW and Toyota are supposed to be doing an MR-2 sized car from my understanding..again speculation as there have been no other details revealed
