If it stays NA almost guaranteed to have a torque dip. It is deliberately tuned in for economy/emissions targets. Even NA Porsche flat-6s have a similar dip (people just don’t complain as much because they still have way more torque and power overall).

Yes! It’s ridiculous Toyota drag their feet on this. At least the BRZ has it now. Which is one reason I’d lean towards the BRZ when the time comes to consider an upgrade. That plus Subaru seem to do a nicer job on interior and exterior styling details.
