It would be really hard for me to give you an accurate description of how it is. I did that mod so long ago, I don't remember how it sounded by itself. Now I am supercharged, with exhaust, shorter gearing, a more aggressive differential, solid carrier bushings, all of which have added more noise. I do remember that after driving in it for a time, I either got used to it or the noise lessened from it "wearing in". That's about the best reply I can give you. Sorry for the late response @
