If the G40R was available here in the US with a miata motor for about the same price point as the FR-S and was proved to be daily driver reliable I would sell my FR-S in an instant...

I love the FR-S, but the G40R is what I really want in sports car... extremely well engineered no compromise/no drivers aid car at an affordable price. It just has to be $30k or less... which is highly doubtful it would be as it's 29k pounds already before importation/ETC costs and US price roughly come to 2x cost (ariel atom, Ulima GTR, etc....) If there is ever a sub $30k USD purchasable factory built coupe with no compromise for handling and lightness just like the G40R and has Toyota daily driver reliability I would sell my FR-S for it...

There has yet for one to be made in the US, and I highly doubt one could ever be made available...
