Australia is pretty big, so between the north and south there should be a good difference in temperatures. And while it's bisected by the tropic of capricorn, a quick glance through a google search tells me some regions can go down to the single digits celcius during winter, so while it's not dangerously cold (like where I'm from), seat heaters, in short bursts, are comfy in that range. Here people keep their seats on full burn from november to april.
