Well I'm going catted UEL, so I thought that with dual resonated FP would keep the 3" CBE toned down a bit. I could go cat/resonated UQFP but since I will be catted in header, wouldn't matter much since O2 sensors run off the headers. I think your 2.5" was primarily loud because of your catless UEL.
