If Toyota were to come out with a Supra today, it would be a Toyota two door version of the Lexus IS350. Same thing Nissan does with the Infiniti G37 and 370Z. Two doors, crappier interior, slightly cheaper.
The car industry is all about efficiencies of scale. The above is the only sensible way to do it.
